SAU All-State Quartet Clinic

Saturday, October 14, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

The SAU All-State Quartet Clinic offers high school students an opportunity to practice their all-state audition before experienced judges and clinicians. An optional lunch and Question and Answer session will take place from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, at no additional cost.

The workshop day includes:

1. A morning or afternoon session for your quartet to practice its all-state audition, with representative cuts of music from the 2023 Iowa all-state repertoire, judged by renowned Iowa high school educator Allen Chapman and St. Ambrose University Music professor Nathan Windt.

2. Solo callbacks may be held to further simulate the audition process, putting students at ease about one of the more stressful moments of the Iowa All-State day.

3. A question and answer session during the lunch hour, allowing students the opportunity to ask the judges questions about the all-state audition process, and what to expect on audition day.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nathan Windt at (563) 333-6146 or by email at windtnathanj@sau.edu.
